Celine Bellenguez, MD PhD,  is a tenured researcher (CR2) at Inserm UMR-1167, Institute Pasteur of Lille, University Lille 2, with an expertise in statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology. During her postdoc at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics (Oxford University) she worked within the analysis group for GWAS conducted as part of the Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium 2 (2008-2011). She now works on the identification of variants associated with complex traits, focusing on traits linked to neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. She is involved in several consortia, including EADI, IGAP or ADES, which aim at identifying genetic risk factors for Alzheimer's disease through GWAS or sequencing.
